Does the timer keep running in a background tab?
Yes. It measures real elapsed time from a clock timestamp instead of counting ticks, so it stays accurate even if the browser slows the tab down. The tab title shows the remaining time.
Will my screen turn off while the timer runs?
In browsers that support the Screen Wake Lock API, the screen stays on while the timer is running. It is released when you pause, reset or leave the page.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Online Timer runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
