Who we are
Toolshed (toolshedhub.com) is run by Lightbit Studio, Israel. For any privacy question or request, email us.
Your files never leave your device
Every tool runs inside your browser. The files, text, audio and video you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to our servers or anyone else's. We cannot see them, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
Advertising and cookies
Toolshed is free because it shows ads. Ads are served by Google AdSense and Google Ad Manager. Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see them, measure their performance and, with your consent, personalize them based on your visits to this and other websites.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google's consent message before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time with the privacy settings link on the page. Elsewhere, you can turn off personalized ads in your Google ad settings or through aboutads.info.
Other services the site loads
To work, pages load some files from other providers. They receive your IP address and browser details as part of the normal web request, but none of your files.
- Google Fonts, for the site's typeface.
- Hugging Face and jsDelivr, which host the AI models some tools download (for example background removal and speech to text). The model is downloaded to your browser; your file is not sent.
- Exchange rates for the currency converters come from the European Central Bank, fetched by our server.
- Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability.
What is stored in your browser
We store a few settings in your browser's local storage so the site remembers them: your theme (light or dark), your language, the text you type in Online Notepad, and a small counter used to space out ads. They stay on your device and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
We do not use analytics or tracking cookies of our own, and we do not create accounts.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or Israeli privacy law), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you and to object to its use. Since we do not collect your files or create accounts, we hold almost no personal data. For data processed by Google for ads, use the Google links above. For anything else, email us and we will answer within 30 days.
Children
Toolshed is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
