Which languages are supported?
HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, SQL, GraphQL and YAML. JavaScript and TypeScript are formatted with Prettier, SQL with sql-formatter.
Can it minify code?
CSS can be minified safely (comments and whitespace removed). For JavaScript and HTML we only format, because safe minifying needs a heavy compiler.
Is my code uploaded?
No. Formatting runs in your browser, so your code never leaves your device.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Code Formatter runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
