Which favicon files do I get?

A favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 px icons, PNGs at 16, 32, 180 (Apple touch icon), 192 and 512 px, a site.webmanifest, and the HTML snippet that links them.

What if my image isn't square?

It's cropped to the largest centered square so the icon isn't stretched. For full control, crop your logo to a square first.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Favicon Generator runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.

Is there a file size limit?

No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
