How do I resize an image without stretching it?
Keep “Lock aspect ratio” on and set just the width or the height. The other side is worked out for each image so nothing is distorted.
What do the social media presets do?
They fill in the recommended pixel size for that platform, such as 1080×1080 for an Instagram square post. If your image has a different shape, choose Fit to keep all of it with bars around it, or Cover to fill the size and crop the edges.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Resize Image runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
