Does trimming reduce video quality?
Not in the default fast mode: the video and audio are copied as they are, so there is no quality loss and it finishes in seconds. The cut lands on the nearest keyframe, so it can be a fraction of a second off.
When should I use frame-accurate trimming?
When the cut must land on an exact frame. This re-encodes the video to MP4, which is slower and runs on your device, but cuts exactly where you chose.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Trim Video runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
