No. The AI model is downloaded to your browser once, then cached, and runs entirely on your device. Your image is never sent anywhere.
Why is upscaling slow on big images?
The image is enlarged in small tiles so your browser doesn't run out of memory, and the AI model processes every tile. It's fastest in browsers with WebGPU; 4× on large photos can take a long time, so try 2× first.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Image Upscaler runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
