How is reading time calculated?
Reading time assumes 238 words per minute and speaking time 150 words per minute, rounded to the nearest second.
How does keyword density work?
We count how often each word appears, skip common English words like “the” and “and”, and show the ten most frequent as a share of all words.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Word Counter runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
Is Word Counter really free?
