Copy an invisible character
- Blank letter: Treated as a letter, so many name and username fields accept it. It shows as blank or a narrow gap.
- Space: Real whitespace of different widths. Most forms trim it from the ends, so it works best inside messages.
- Zero width: No width at all: nothing is visible. Handy as a hidden separator, but many apps strip it or reject an empty-looking text.

Frequently asked questions
Where do invisible characters work?
It depends on the app. Blank letters such as the Hangul filler or Braille blank are most often accepted in names and chats, while zero-width characters and spaces are frequently trimmed or blocked. Try a few; the three groups behave differently.
Why would text contain hidden characters?
Often by accident, from copying out of web pages, PDFs or word processors. Sometimes on purpose: to disguise a link or file extension, to watermark a text, or to dodge a filter. The detector lists each one so you can remove it.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Invisible Character runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
Is Invisible Character really free?
Yes. There's no account and no watermark. A short optional ad, or a 20-second wait, unlocks each download. That's how we keep it free.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, processing happens locally, so it keeps working even if your connection drops.
