How are the passwords generated?
With your browser's cryptographically secure random generator. Characters are picked without modulo bias, and nothing leaves your device.
What does the strength meter measure?
Entropy in bits: length multiplied by log2 of the number of possible characters. Around 80 bits or more is very strong for most uses.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Password Generator runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
