Does changing the pitch change the speed?
No. The pitch moves up or down while the audio keeps its original length and tempo. Use the Audio Speed Changer if you want to change the speed instead.
What is a semitone?
A semitone is one step on a piano keyboard. Twelve semitones make an octave, so +12 doubles the pitch and -12 halves it. Large shifts can sound less natural on voices.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Pitch Shifter runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
