Frequently asked questions

Which PDFs convert best?

PDFs exported from Excel, accounting software or reports, where you can select the text and columns are separated by clear gaps. Rows are rebuilt from text that sits on the same line and columns from the gaps between values, so neatly aligned tables come out cleanest.

Can it convert a scanned PDF?

Not directly: a scan is a picture of the page with no text to read. Run it through OCR PDF first to add a text layer, then convert the result here.

Will the numbers work in formulas?

Plain numbers such as 120, -3.5 or 4,500.75 are stored as real numbers you can sum and chart. Values with units, currency symbols or leading zeros (like order codes) stay as text so nothing is changed by mistake.

Is my PDF uploaded?

No. The PDF is read and the Excel file is created in your browser, on your device. Nothing is sent to a server.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF to Excel runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.

Is there a file size limit?

No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
