Frequently asked questions
Can I put the same filter on many photos at once?
Yes. Add all the photos, choose the filter and adjustments on the preview of the first one, and the exact same look is applied to every photo, at full resolution, in one go.
Does adding a filter lower the resolution?
No. Only the on-screen preview is scaled down so it stays fast. The download is processed at the photo's full size and saved in its original format (HEIC photos as JPG).
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The filters are calculated in your browser on your own device, so your photos never leave it.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Photo Filters runs entirely in your browser. Your files are processed on your device and are never sent to a server.
Is there a file size limit?
No fixed limit. The only limit is your device's memory. Very large files work best in a desktop browser.
Is Photo Filters really free?
Yes. There's no account and no watermark. A short optional ad, or a 20-second wait, unlocks each download. That's how we keep it free.
